Meet the Doctors

Dr. D.J. LeDrew, D.C.

I am Dr. D.J. LeDrew, my chiropractic story began as a child who suffered from severe migraine headaches.  After extensive testing and investigation within our conventional medical system to no avail, my family turned to another solution.  Chiropractic! After one adjustment my life had changed, it was the first time I had complete relief from the debilitating migraines.  From that point on I had always been intrigued by chiropractic, pondering the thought of becoming a chiropractor.

I began my post secondary studies at the University of Calgary, where I graduated with a Bachelors of Kinesiology with an emphasis in Mind Sciences.  During my tenure at the U of C I wrestled for the varDSC00821.JPGsity team, learning the value of hard work by juggling studies and training.  In 2000 I was recognized as the University of Calgary Scholar Athlete of the Year by maintaining a 3.78 GPA and winning the CIS National Championships, one my most proud moments.  I am very grateful for the life lessons learned during my 10 year wrestling career.  During those 10 years I was a five time National medallist and three time National Champion, representing Canada at many international competitions.  Although I was just reaching my prime in wrestling, I decided to move on to chiropractic instead of pursue the Olympic dream and fulfill my mission of serving humanity.

In selecting chiropractic schools, I chose California as it is the chiropractic mecca, having more schools and chiropractors than any where else in the world I figured I would get the best exposure.  Also if I was going to study for another 4 years, why not do it in sunny California.  I began classes at the Southern California University of Health Sciences in January 2001.  I set the goal that I wanted to graduate at the top of my class when I began school as I felt if I didn’t learn the material well enough it would be a disservice to my future patients.  I achieved that goal; I graduated as the Valedictorian, summa cum laude and was actually selected by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners as the fee waiver recipient, where they paid for my national board exam fee.  While in school I attended many weekend seminars to ensure that I was fully prepared for practice with the most current knowledge.

I began solo practice in Calgary, Alberta, Canada in January 2005 and still remain.  I maintain one of the busiest family wellness chiropractic offices in the city, still contributing to the wrestling community where I am the team chiropractor for the Canadian National Wrestling Team at the Canadian National Sport Center at the University of Calgary.

I have a passion for ongoing learning and continue to expand my knowledge by attending regular post graduate conferences to provide my patients with the most current chiropractic care.
